Flights

The wedding will be celebrated in Santo Domingo,Dominican Republic. It would be best to fly to Las Américas International Airport (SDQ). The Airport is in the outskirts of Santo Domingo.

If you have plans to go to the beach while being there, Punta Cana is 2.5 hrs away from Santo Domingo, and you can fly in or out the Punta Cana Airport (PUJ).

Most visitors arriving to the Dominican Republic–including those from the United States, dont need a visa. You do need to fill out a form/e-ticket for customs, which is available here. They will ask for the QR code upon arrival.

Accommodations

El Embajador, a Royal Hideway Hotel

The reception will be at this hotel, we recommend using alternative booking sites for reservations (e.g., Expedia).

Airbnb near the Bella Vista neighborhood

Another option is renting an Airbnb near the reception venue. Just make sure that is located near Av. Sarasota to facilitate access to the reception venue.

The Ceremony

Our ceremony will take place during a Catholic Nuptial Mass at the Church and Convent of the Dominican Order, celebrated by Father Martín, a longtime family friend. Dating to the early 1500s, it is one of the smaller churches in Santo Domingo’s Colonial City and is especially meaningful to us. The convent was once home to the first university of the Americas.

Transportation will be provided from Hotel El Embajador to the Church and back to the hotel for the reception. If you are staying elsewhere, you are welcome to join us at the hotel and ride with us, or take an Uber directly to the church. If you plan to drive, please keep in mind that parking in the Colonial City can be difficult to find.
